Our Personal Relationship with God
In the hustle of life, we may find ourselves at times swimming upstream,
resisting the current of God’s love. Yet, He desires an intimate relationship
with each of us. We might discover this through an “agitated” heart, an
inability to relish the goodness around us; when we find ourselves without
much love, faith, or hope.
God’s love is an invitation, an embrace, and an everlasting covenant. We
might do well to reflect on who God is, and who He wants to be for us. Some
titles St. Ignatius gives to Jesus are: Lord, Savior, friend, companion. We might
also like to call Jesus our healer, and forgiver. Perhaps we all need to come up
with our own descriptors of God’s love for us.
Let us continue to walk this journey with Him. God is with us every step of the
way, offering His love and grace. May we open our hearts, embrace our
relationship with Him in every aspect of our lives, and share in who He wants
to be for us every step of the way.
